We are proud to announce the release of our first belted tire, the Slick for the Baja Buggy. With today’s high power motors, high speed gearing options and even 2 speeds, the standard Baja tires expand to the degree that bead tabs pull out and foam inserts tear. The new belted Slicks do not grow or expand at speed virtually eliminating pulled bead tabs and allowing the use of any foam insert without fear of them tearing or coming apart due to growth and stretching at high speeds. The belting also allows the use of a softer compound to maximize traction without the typical tire growth seen with soft compounds. Finally a tire that can handle high speeds while allowing the use of all Baja 5B wheels, foam inserts and bead rings.
